Early entry programs
Many universities, including Latrobe, RMIT, ACU and Swinburne, offer early entry programs that Year 12 students can apply for throughout June-October (application period depends on the university). Applying for these courses means that students may receive an offer to a course based on their Year 11 results and co-curricular and community involvement prior to sitting exams in October/November, which can alleviate a lot of pressure. Information regarding early entry programs for 2025 tertiary study can be found on HT Connect here.
Career Bites sessions
Would you like to be part of our Futures program at Huntingtower?
In 2023, a range of members from the HT community including former students, parents, friends and staff members presented to our Year 11 students regarding their careers and the varied ways in which they got there. The students all spoke very highly of the sessions and were very grateful to all presenters for the time they gave to help them in their career research. We will be starting these sessions again next term for our current Year 11 students. I am looking for interested members of the HT community who might be prepared to support this program – whether you participated last year or not, we would love your involvement. If you would like to be part of this exciting program, and help our students make informed choices about their futures, please complete the very short survey here.
Upcoming events
The best way for students to research and plan for their futures is to experience things for themselves. Please read through the following opportunities carefully and register for anything that is of interest. Most of these activities are free to participate in.
