ELLEN JOSE ART RECONCILIATION AWARDS

What a wonderful celebration of young artists in our Bayside community at the Ellen Jose Art Awards ceremony on Saturday. Congratulations once again to Ted Swanton, Harper Mason, Lola Fernandez and Saige Harper as our Black Rock Primary finalists.

A huge congratulations to Lola Fernandez for securing third place with two additional students, in the Year 4-6 category, Lola's work was identified as having a wonderful eye for composition with artistic talent. An even bigger congratulations to Saige Harper, she received an outstanding second place, in the Year 4-6 category, and a special mention on the day by, Ellen Jose's husband, Dr Toscano. He stated Saige's work was sophisticated, structured and has real artistic talent, an artwork Ellen Jose would've been proud of. Such an achievement and recognition for our students. Thank you to everyone who entered this initiative responding to the question 'What does Reconciliation mean to you?' Also a huge thank you to those families who showed their support for the arts and celebrated with us on the day. Please visit Bayside Council Corporate Centre, 76 Royal Avenue, to view all the finalists artworks.
