Term Two - Week Two

FA	Basil Mason	Kindness and Leadership	Basil has been a model student this week showing beautiful friendship and leadership. He filled his bucket with many stickers for fantastic behaviour and was very dedicated to his classroom job of light monitor. Basil is always there to offer help to his classmates and teachers, and we couldn’t be happier to have him as a member of FA!
FK	Jack Dean	Love of Learning	It’s been wonderful to see Jack embrace his love of learning straight away in Term 2. He has completed some beautiful work and Jack is making an amazing effort with his sounds. He was able to write some CVC words when the class was working on some spelling, getting all the sounds correct. Well done Jack!
1D	Vinnie Pretty	Kindness	Vinnie has been a regular contributor during class discussions, offering insightful thoughts and building on the contributions of others. He was able to share examples of how we can be kind to others and always displays kindness towards his peers. Keep up the wonderful work Vinnie!
1N	Jem Le Ray	A Love of Learning	Jem did an absolutely outstanding job with his writing last week. When writing about a scene at the beach, he painted a picture for his reader by using amazing adjectives and included lots of detail. Keep up the wonderful work, Jem!
1S	Zoe Lin	Kindness	This week Zoe has shown amazing kindness towards her classmates. During our reading groups, Zoe helped her group members get logged on to Nessy when they were struggling. Well done Zoe!
2C	Willow Cunningham	A Love of Learning	Willow worked so well during our maths lesson focusing on length. She was confident to measure different things around the school using a metre ruler. Willow was diligent in making sure she used the ruler correctly to find the exact length. It has been so wonderful to see Willow try her best with her classwork! Keep up the exceptional work, Willow.
2P	Millie Crittenden	Perseverance	Millie has demonstrated an exemplary example of perseverance as she has developed her understanding of vertical addition and subtraction. She has been focused and dedicated, reviewing her work with a positive attitude. I cannot wait to see the amazing things you achieve with this outlook!
3B	Nate Catlin	Love of Learning	Nate has applied himself conscientiously during our Matilda Novel Writing Activities. He has focused on expanding simple sentences to make them interesting by including similes, hyperboles, connectives and adding descriptive details such as what, where, when and why to explain events.
4B	Chelsea Growse	Love of learning	Chelsea consistently demonstrates a positive commitment to her learning in all subject areas. She is responsible, hard-working, and always completes her schoolwork to a high standard. She is quick to answer questions and contribute valuable ideas to class discussions. Well Done Chelsea for your amazing effort!
4H	Camilla Hope	Love of Learning	Camilla demonstrated her expert knowledge of the First Fleet in her assessment this week. Not only did she share facts about the First Fleet, she clearly explained the reasons behind needing a Penal Colony, including information about the industrial revolution and gaol overcrowding.
4Z	Joe Hou	Curiosity	Joe has a never-ending curiosity and excitement about learning new things. He is like a detective, always searching for clues and answers. Joe’s enthusiasm for sharing what he discovers brightens our classroom. Keep asking questions and exploring the world around you!
5L	Yuting Lim	Love of Learning	Yuting is a fabulous role model to all those around her. She is a hard-worker, collaborates well with others and is constantly challenging herself. We have been especially impressed with her effort on Times Table Rock Stars, earning many points for our class! Great work Yuting!
5M	Sophie Fuller	Love of Learning	Sophie’s fantastic attitude towards her learning is extremely inspiring and has a positive influence on all those around her. She constantly strives to work to the very best of her ability and enjoys extending herself with very challenging math tasks!
6M	Augie Tucker	Curiosity	Congratulations to Augie in 6M, for demonstrating the BRPS value of curiosity during his time on camp. He has a clear passion for history as shown through his thoughtful questions and active participation in discussions at the War Memorial and the National Gallery. Keep up the great work!

Term Two - Week Three

FA	Marc Duncan	Persistence and Kindness	Marc has transitioned into Foundation life wonderfully! He is always a keen participant in the classroom, eager to complete all tasks and with great enthusiasm. He has such a positive and vibrant personality, allowing him to make many new friends in FA. It has been a joy teaching you Marc, keep it up!
FE	Ollie Joyce	Bravery	Congratulations to Ollie for displaying Bravery in Foundation E. He has been able to organise himself independently each morning with confidence and enthusiasm. Ollie did an excellent job at being a ‘Star Helper’ in FE, as he was eager to provide assistance to his teacher and peers. Well done, Ollie and keep up the fantastic work!
FK	Liam Fahey	Teamwork	It was wonderful to see Liam using his leadership and teamwork skills in the team task challenge. Liam worked with his team in the challenge to make the longest paper chain. He encouraged his team to keep trying and he cooperated well with his team. Well done, Liam!
1D	James Barglowski	A Love of Learning	James has been making connections with his learning and should be very proud of the way he approaches learning tasks in the classroom. During our Reading session, he contributed his thoughts about the book and applied strategies to decode unfamiliar words. Keep up the wonderful work James!
1N	Milly Goold	Kindness	Milly shows kindness, both in and out of the classroom, every day. She is the first to lend a helping hand and assist anyone who needs it. If a friend is feeling sad, Milly is always trying to cheer them up and put a smile on their face. How lucky are we to have you 1N, Milly!
1S	Bella Howard	Kindness and Leadership	Well done to Bella for showing such great character strengths in the classroom. She has been getting involved in class discussions, always listens attentively and has been fantastic at transitions between lessons. Bella always offers a helping hand to those who need it, which was evident in our recent study ladder Maths lesson. What an amazing role model in 1S!
2P	James Hou	Love of Learning	James has shared his excitement and passion with the class as he has read the graphic novel series, Bunny vs Monkey. With enthusiasm, he enjoyed sharing the texts with others and being extremely creative when drawing the characters! I am delighted to see your love of reading grow as you keep enjoying this quirky series! Keep it up James!
3B	James Murray		James has demonstrated excellent teamwork qualities when working with his group during our swimming lessons. He listened courteously to his instructor, waited patiently for his team members to complete their swimming drills, and encouraged them to practise their skills and swimming strokes. Congratulations James!
4B	Misha (Michael) Pikovski	Love of Learning	Misha consistently demonstrates a positive attitude towards learning and strives for his personal best. He enjoys sharing his problem solving strategies during maths discussions, and is eager to attempt challenging questions. Misha is always respectful and helpful to his peers and teachers. Well Done for your amazing effort Misha!
4H	Fletcher Wheatley	A Love of Learning	Fletcher’s passion for learning is evident in every lesson, every day. He always tries his best and produces work of outstanding quality. Particularly noticeable this week, was Fletchers persuasive writing and his excellent Introductory Paragraph. Keep it up, Fletcher.
4Z	Teagan Fahey	Kindness	Teagan has the most generous and kind heart. Whether it’s lending a listening ear, offering a helping hand, or simply spreading joy with her thoughtful gestures, she continuously brightens the lives of those around her. We’re so lucky to have such a compassionate person in 4Z!
5L	Lohan Gibbins	Perseverance	Lohan shows great perseverance and persistence in everything he does. He is consistently trying his best and challenging himself, both in and out of the classroom. Lohan has shown extra perseverance recently since breaking his arm, not letting this stop him from any learning opportunities.Well done Lohan!
5M	Isabella Nixon-Rice	Love of learning	Isabella has demonstrated a high degree of dedication to her learning. Her positive attitude and high level of persistence is to be admired. Keep up the hard work Issy!
5T	Mackenzie Taylor	A Love Of Learning/Creativity	Mackenzie has had an incredible week in 5T. She did an impressive and detailed plan for her picture storybook as part of a Literacy assignment. Mackenzie has completed many additional Maths tasks over the week and extending her knowledge of short division and perimeter. She is hard working and is always willing to help others. Well done Mackenzie!
6M	Millie Campbell	A Love of Learning	Congratulations on showing the school value of A Love of Learning! Your consistent effort, curiosity, and collaborative attitude make you a role model in 6M. Term Two - Week Four

FA	Thea Brownsea	Courage	Thea was a superstar at our House Cross Country Carnival last week. She showed marvellous sportsmanship, cheering all her friends, peers, and Green House students on. When it came to her race, she had a smile on her face from start to finish. We are so proud of all your efforts inside and outside of the classroom Thea. Keep it up!
FE	Boston Knight	Leadership	Congratulations to Boston for displaying leadership in Foundation E. He is always willing to assist others in the classroom and takes on additional jobs with enthusiasm, displaying excellent initiative. Boston also displayed fantastic sportsmanship and kindness towards his peers during our cross-country event. Well, done Boston and keep up the fantastic work!
FK	Ivy Cunningham	Fairness	Ivy displayed wonderful fairness at the BRPS Cross Country. She ran an amazing race coming first in the Foundation girl’s race. Ivy’s attitude and fairness she displayed was great to see. She was so excited for all of her friends and how they all ran in the race. Ivy was happy for them all! Well done Ivy!
1D	Penelope Georgiadis	Curiosity	Penelope has demonstrated curiosity when learning and is beginning to ask questions to clarify her understanding. During our Literacy sessions, she is able to make connections with her prior learning and use this to create interesting sentences. Keep up the wonderful work Penelope!
1N	Sammy Smyth	Perseverance	Sammy shows great perseverance toward everything he does. He approaches all tasks with a can-do attitude and encourages those around him to do the same. Sammy displayed this fantastic trait when competing in cross-country last week where he showed great determination and a wonderful sense of sportsmanship. Keep up the amazing work, Sammy.
1S	Carly Baker	School spirit and Enthusiasm	Congratulations to Carly who showed great enthusiasm, support, and camaraderie during the BRPS Cross Country. She was seen uplifting her peers and spreading positivity throughout her year level and house. Well done Carly!
2C	Archie Edwards	A Love of Learning	Archie is a Maths Whiz! He consistently shows a keen interest in exploring new concepts and confidently tackles challenges and demonstrates impressive problem-solving abilities. He sets a wonderful example for his peers. Keep challenging yourself, Archie :)
2H	Daniel He	A Love of Learning	Daniel has been applying himself across all learning areas, which really showed during Assessment Week. He should be very proud of his hard work. Daniel always has a very positive approach to learning and loves to share ideas with the class and in his work.What a star!
4B	Max Bell	A Love of Learning	Max is a diligent and respectful student who applies himself to all learning tasks. When composing persuasive texts, he effectively uses high modal language and new vocabulary to persuade the reader. Max is always focused and ready to approach new learning challenges. Well done for your amazing effort Max!
4H	Jessie Allamby	Curiosity	Jessie has been very engaged in our lessons on deforestation and has been sharing some fascinating facts with the class about different rare animals. Thanks for being curious, Jessie and learning fun facts to share with us.
4Z	James Henchey	Kindness	James will go above and beyond, offering his assistance to others without hesitation. He is always the first to offer a helping hand, whether it's lending a pencil, sharing study materials, or patiently explaining concepts to classmates in need. We hope James’ compassionate spirit continues to inspire us all to spread kindness wherever we go.
5M	Alex Ye	Perseverance and determination	Alex displayed great enthusiasm and perseverance during our round 2 hockey game. His determination contributed to our team scoring 3 goals. He never gave up and also made us proud with his sense of fair play and good sportsmanship! Well done Alex!
6B	Freddie Denness	Creativity	During our study of the novel ‘Rabbit Proof Fence’, Freddie created a detailed timeline of events. His published work, which he completed on Canva was visually engaging and included the key information from the text. Well done Freddie!

FE	Zoe Gillespie	Resilience	Congratulations to Zoe in Foundation E for displaying excellent resilience. She arrives at school each day with confidence and independence, ready to tackle any challenge that comes her way. Whether it's actively participating in classroom discussions or collaborating positively with her peers during team-based tasks, she consistently demonstrates a 'can do' attitude. Zoe’s ability to persevere through obstacles and setbacks serves as an excellent example of resilience to her peers. Well done Zoe!
FK	Luke Graf Maluenda	Kindness	It’s been wonderful to see Luke showing so much kindness both in the Foundation K classroom as well as outside in the playground. He always gives a great smile to his friends, and he displayed amazing friendship skills at recess playing a game with his friends. Well done Luke!
1D	Max Mott	Teamwork	Max demonstrated wonderful collaborative skills when working with his group to role-play a range of personal strengths. He was able to perform these in front of his peers and was an enthusiastic contributor to our discussions about how our strengths can help us in our daily lives. Keep up the great work Max!
1N	Ted Swanton	A love of learning	Ted did an absolutely brilliant job with his writing last week. Ted wrote a wonderful story full of detail and used excellent adjectives in his writing. His story was also accompanied by the most creative and detailed illustrations. Well done, Ted!
1S	Billy White	Creativity	This week Billy worked in a partnership to role play the personal strength of kindness. Together, they demonstrated how to help others in need and how to be a good friend. Billy showed excitement and was engaged throughout the role play and also cheered on his classmates. Well done Billy!
2C	Marley Dow	Kindness	Marley stands out as a shining example of kindness and dedication. Always willing to lend a hand, he brightens our school days with his thoughtful actions. Whether it's comforting a friend in need or leading by example, Marley embodies the values of kindness and empathy that we strive to instil at BRPS.
3B	Harper Mason	Love of Learning	Harper shows a keen interest in all types of school and class activities. She has been an active participant in all facets of class discussions and learning situations, in particular the activities related to our novel study of ‘Matilda’. Congratulations for demonstrating excellent work habits across all curriculum areas.
4H	Max Olivier	Creativity	Max has been very engaged during our writing lessons, always applying new vocabulary to his work. He wrote an excellent persuasive paragraph last week that was very well structured and full of high modality language. An impressive effort, Max. Well done.
4Z	Harper Hathway	Perseverance	Harper has consistently demonstrated unwavering persistence in her schoolwork throughout the year. Her commitment also extends beyond the classroom to her participation in the District Cross Country event. Harper's remarkable determination was evident as she relentlessly pushed herself to achieve her best. Well done, Harper! You are a wonderful example of perseverance for 4Z.
5L	Joben Krueger	Teamwork	During inter-school sport Joben demonstrated fantastic sportsmanship and leadership skills in the softball games. He is always supporting the team and has a positive attitude. Keep up the good work Joben!
5M	Jack Anderson	Love of Learning	Jack’s dedication to his learning is to be greatly admired. He has focused his attention on learning his times tables and has improved in both speed and accuracy! Jack has worked consistently hard in the area of maths and the results speak for themselves! Keep up that wonderful attitude Jack!
5T	Isaac-Noah Guerresi	Respect/Kindness	Isaac is a shining example of respect, hard work, and compassion within 5T. His unwavering dedication to treating others with kindness and consideration sets him apart as a role model for his peers. Isaac approaches every task with diligence and determination, and his proactive nature and willingness to take initiative make him an asset to our classroom dynamic. Keep it up Isaac!

FE	Chloe Crowe	Teamwork	Congratulations to Chloe for displaying excellent teamwork and leadership in Foundation E. She has done a wonderful job at assisting her peers and her classroom teacher at school. Chloe displays a positive attitude in the classroom and participates in learning tasks with enthusiasm. She is a trustworthy and reliable friend and displays respect to all her peers. Well, done Chloe and keep up the fantastic work!
FK	Maya Bremer	Kindness	Maya continues to display a love of learning in Foundation K. She quietly works hard doing her best both in Literacy and Numeracy. Maya is always ready to face any learning challenges that come her way always with a bright smile on her face. Keep it up!
1D	Hattie Blunt	Perseverance	Hattie has shown an increase in her confidence as a learner which has helped her to make wonderful connections with her learning. She has been reading with increased fluency and has been regularly contributing to class discussions. Keep up the great work Hattie!
1N	Jack Brinkworth	Kindness	Jack has been a wonderful classmate this week by showing kindness and empathy. When a friend was feeling sad, Jack was trying his best to cheer them up and put a smile on their face. Keep up the amazing work, Jack!
3B	Christos Iakovidis	Love of Learning	Christos is to be commended for trying his hardest during all Literacy and Numeracy activities presented in class sessions. He has worked hard on completing his Matilda and homework tasks and his results are reflecting his newfound confidence. Well done Christos!
4H	Daniel Ilic	Perseverance	Daniel has demonstrated excellent growth in his writing recently. He diligently listens during writing instruction and has been persevering and applying new skills to his writing pieces to produce some beautifully and skilfully crafted persuasive arguments. 4Z	Zach Abley	Love of Learning	Zach has consistently demonstrated an exceptional love of learning, approaching every subject with curiosity and enthusiasm. His conscientious attitude sets a positive example for his peers. Zach is always respectful and well prepared for class and shows a genuine interest in expanding his knowledge. 5M	Toby Smyth	Love of Learning	Toby is to be commended for his enthusiasm and dedication in Maths. He enjoys participating in extra challenges which is fantastic and his proficiency with his times tables has greatly improved! Keep up that wonderful attitude Toby!
6B	Noah McCartney	Kindness	During our Buddy session last week, Noah showed what a caring and compassionate buddy he is. It was fantastic to see him support and encourage the Foundation students during the activities completed. Well done Noah!
