Upcoming Lockdown Practice Drill

As part of our ongoing commitment to student and staff safety, the College will conduct a practice lockdown drill at some point before the end of term. In order to ensure the drill reflects a realistic response, it will take place during either recess or lunchtime.

While we hope such procedures are never required in a real-life situation, practising our emergency responses is an important part of ensuring our students and staff are prepared, informed, and able to respond calmly and appropriately should the need ever arise. These practice drills also support us in meeting our duty of care and compliance requirements regarding school safety procedures.

In preparation for the lockdown drill, staff will work closely with students in the lead-up to the event to explain the purpose of the practice and what students can expect. We also recognise that drills of this nature may raise concerns or trigger past experiences for some students. We encourage families to speak with their daughters beforehand should they feel additional reassurance or support may be beneficial.

To assist with communication, a Compass post will be sent to families on the morning of the lockdown practice drill to advise that the drill will be taking place that day. During the lockdown practice, office staff will not be able to field phone calls or respond to routine enquiries, and student collection during the drill will not be possible. Should parents or visitors be onsite at the time of the practice, they will also be required to follow the College’s lockdown procedures and directions from staff.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause; however, the safety and wellbeing of our students remains at the forefront of all that we do.

Looking ahead, next term the College will also conduct an offsite evacuation drill. This practice will be communicated and managed in a similar manner to the lockdown drill to ensure our community remains informed and prepared.

We thank families for their understanding and support as we continue to prioritise a safe and prepared learning environment for all students.

Pupil Free Day – Staff Formation Day

Tuesday 9 June 2026

Families are reminded that Tuesday 9 June 2026 will be a Pupil Free Day for students as staff participate in a Staff Formation Day.

As a Catholic, Christ-centred learning community, staff formation is an important part of our ongoing commitment to nurturing not only academic excellence, but also the spiritual, pastoral, and faith development of our students. Formation days provide staff with the opportunity to deepen their understanding of Catholic identity and mission, strengthen professional practice, and reflect on how we continue to live out Gospel values within our College community.

These dedicated days allow staff to come together in prayer, reflection, professional dialogue, and learning experiences that support the holistic education of young women in the Catholic tradition. Through formation, we continue to grow as educators and leaders who are committed to creating a learning environment grounded in faith, compassion, dignity, service, and authentic relationships.

We thank families for their ongoing support of these important opportunities for staff learning and faith formation. We ask that families please note that students will not be required to attend school on this day and normal classes will resume on Wednesday 10 June 2026.

Upcoming Parent-Teacher Interviews

As we approach the conclusion of Term 2, we warmly invite families to participate in our upcoming Year 7 - 10 Parent-Teacher Interviews. These interviews provide an important opportunity for parents, carers, students, and teachers to work together in partnership to support each student’s learning journey, wellbeing, and continued growth.

The interview schedule is as follows:

  • Thursday 2 July 20268:30am – 6:00pm

    Interviews conducted via Zoom

  • Friday 3 July 20268:30am – 2:40pm

Interviews conducted in person at the College

Parent-Teacher Interviews are a valuable part of strengthening the partnership between home and school. They provide an opportunity to celebrate student achievements, discuss progress and learning habits, identify areas for growth, and explore strategies to best support each young woman both academically and pastorally.

At our College, we recognise that students thrive when families and educators work collaboratively, maintaining open communication and shared goals centred on student success and wellbeing. These conversations help ensure our students feel known, supported, encouraged, and challenged to achieve their personal best.

We strongly encourage all families to take advantage of this opportunity to connect with their daughter’s teachers and engage in meaningful discussions regarding her learning and development.

Further information regarding interview bookings and access details will be communicated to families via Compass in the coming weeks.

We thank families for their ongoing support and partnership in the education and formation of our students.
