SA Junior State Gymnastics Championships

On Friday 1st September Dakota competed in Level 5, Under 11 Division and scored 9s out of 10 in all but one apparatus, placing her 1st Overall. Dakota is now the L5 - U11 Overall 2023 Junior State Champion. She is also the 2023 Vault Junior State Champion 

Dakota's competition results;

1st Overall, 1st Vault, 3rd Floor, 4th Uneven Bars, 5th Beam 

Dakota has been training and competing in gymnastics since 2018. She currently trains 15 hours a week which shows her dedication, commitment and resilience to the sport. This is a great achievement. Well done Dakota!

Year 2/3 GS Rockets

The Rockets didn't play this week due to the other team forfeiting. 

Year 4/5 Warriors

Round 6 vs Pedare Shooters. We just missed out on the win 24/26 in the last seconds but not down to effort. Every player put in 100% every minute on the court. Stand out this week was Shayla for her first goal and Eden’s best game showing confidence on the court and some nice blocks.

Year 5/6 Raptors

The GS Raptors made it three wins in a row with a solid 23-13 win over the Kings Wildcats.  Once again, the Raptors only had five players available and those five spent the entire match on the court without a break.  Downey played one of his best games of the year - numerous steals, strong defence, down the court dribbling and a great basket.  Hadassah too had another great game where her strong defence and skillful rebounding ability resulted in multiple jump balls.

GS Little Jordans

GS Little Jordans v Eagles 9/14

Jordans came out fighting this week.  Very close game only lost in the last 2 mins. Great defending by all. 

Star players: Archie B scored his first point. Hirdey, Gabriel and Marcus all scored points.

7&Under Netball - GS Stars

This week's game was the toughest we've faced yet, with both teams attacking and defending well and lots of turnovers throughout the game. Super proud of the team for persisting for the whole game and not giving up when the going got tough. Awesome job everyone!

8&Under Thunder

A great team effort to get our 3rd win in a row. The team is really coming together and passing well  Chase and Felix with their steals, Zeppelin’s big efforts on the line to keep the ball in and Austin this week’s high scorer. Well done Thunder.
