Welcome Back Mrs Moloney

Last week we welcomed back Mrs Moloney as our Tutor Learning Initiative (TLI) teacher. Our small groups are getting back into routine, working diligently on their reading goals which is fantastic to see!

Book Week & Premier's Reading Challenge

Next week is Book Week and we are very excited to read and share our favourite books. We will be celebrating with a Book Week dress up day next Friday 25th August, where teachers and students alike come dressed as their favourite character from their favourite books. This could include real people from the past that have been written about in nonfiction texts too! On this day we encourage students not only to dress up, but bring along the books that include their favourite characters or historical figures.

A friendly reminder that we still have one month to read as many texts as we can for the Premiers’ Reading Challenge. The challenge will conclude at the end of this term and teachers will continue to verify texts for students as they log their home reading in diaries.

On a final note, our lesson slides for learning are available to support your children at home. Students in the Middle and Senior School can access their slides via Google Classroom or by requesting them from classroom teachers. Our slides not only ensure lesson structure and consistency for our students, but allow lessons to be revisited for review, support or even for fun!
