These are my words of thanks delivered at the conclusion of the Friday 1pm show which I would like to share with the wider school community:
What an exceptional experience Matilda the Musical Jnr has been for our school! As the Principal it is a joyous experience to see our students and staff work together to create a such a magical production. Today I would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who has made this a success.
I would like to start with our families thank you for the drop-off and pick-ups over this week for performances and for also listening to the songs over and over. Also, for being our audience, your children’s cheerleaders and our biggest supporters. Thank you to our volunteers who helped with make-up and hair and to Abby McGregor for her wonderful wig work for the Wormwoods!
To our staff and students who were not directly involved thank you for going with the flow as there have been lots of changes, especially over the last two weeks and we have carried on with our learning despite the interruptions. Thank you to our staff for covering classes and duties for those involved.
To our out-of-school supporters who without we would not have such wonderful resources
To Eli King for videoing, Andrew King and Oskar Mezsaros for the lighting, Rachel Mezsaros for the photography in the program, John McGregor for the programs, t-shirts and merchandise and Julie Phillips Lewis for her photography this evening.

How lucky are we at Holy Trinity to have had Steph work with us over the last 3 years! How lucky are our students that they get to experience her abundant talent to make amazing things happen with what appears from the outside with ease, passion and extreme dedication?
And finally to the stars of the show our students - what a talented bunch you are. Thank you for putting your hand up to be in Matilda. At Holy Trinity, we talk a lot about being involved and giving things a go and I am so proud of all of you for doing this. I can see on your faces how much you have loved being part of Matilda. Thank you all for helping make the goal of becoming a ‘singing’ school a reality. I am looking forward to the final performance tonight.
I did enjoy the performance on Friday night! I hope if you got to see the show and you enjoyed it.
Looking forward to seeing our Year 6 students and their families at the tour and Information Session on Wednesday evening.
Have a good week,
Jilly
