Student Leadership
Dear Saltwater Community,
What a remarkable term it has been, filled with numerous events and incredible learning opportunities for our student leaders. These experiences have allowed them to support their classmates and lead by example. As the term draws to a close, it is crucial that we take the time to reflect on our achievements and set our goals for the upcoming semester.
Throughout the term, our student leaders have participated in a range of activities that have fostered their growth and development. From organising and leading fundraising projects amongst our community, to voicing their ideas for change, they have demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication. These events have not only enriched their own learning but also positively impacted the entire school community.
Please see reflections from our student leaders, the Class Captains, Junior School Representatives and our House Captains.

Class Captain and JSC
I have enjoyed helping my class and your teacher. I have helped by reminding people to do the right thing. I am looking forward to still helping my class when they don't know what to do.

I have liked that as Class Captain I get to help people. When they get hurt, I tell them what happened. I have helped when a new student came to our school. In our JSC meetings, I like to listen to the older kids.

I have enjoyed being a leader at this school because I have been given lots of support from my classmates and some advice on improvements. I think this is an amazing job and I can’t wait to see what people will do next yer and the next few years to come.

Shivani ANANDBABU 5H
Class Captain
This semester, I have achieved so many things in my class. I am proud of leading my class. I have created the idea box in my class, establishing a class document, and have encouraged my class to be a clean environment. I taught all the girls how to crochet and they enjoy it we’re thinking about applying it to some class decorations. We definitely showed compassion and responsibility when we organised a scavenger hunt and made so many gifts for our teacher’s birthdays. I have also written in the Leadership Document on the Schoolbox page, this is where we communicate with Ms Grenfell and Mr Mernik.
Noah GILL
Goodes House Captain
As a Goodes House Captain, I have enjoyed helping in school events such as House Colour Day, Athletics day and more. This is because I engaged with fellow Goodes house members about themselves. Overall, being a Goodes House Captain has been a great experience.

Vander-Kuyp House Captain
I enjoyed House Colour Day as House Captain because we hosted many events and activities on the day. I loved Athletics Day because it was fun to try out new sports and cheering on for Vander- Kuyp. I enjoyed when we went to collect money for the Children's Hospital because I thought it was a great cause to support.
Ruby WEBER-BLAIR
Goolagong House Captain
I enjoyed being a House Captain because I got to be part of activities and help run them. Another thing I enjoyed was the Leadership Conference, because I feel as though I learned a lot on how to be a better leader. I think the biggest achievement was being able to communicate with my other House Captain leaders, I thought it was amazing that everyone seemed to know how to do their job.
Miguel REYES
Goolagong House Captain
As a Goolagong House Captain my favourite thing this semester was when we had House Colour Day, as everyone participated in earning points for their House. Another thing I liked was helping out in the School Carnival Day and I loved how loads of people participated in the sports.
Zainah MOHAMMED ASIF
Freeman House Captain
As House Captain I have enjoyed planning events in our school for House Colour Day because we got to run a specific event for the different House Colours to earn points.
I also enjoyed the Athletics Carnival because I got to participate in sporting events and try my best to win ribbons and house points for my House.
I enjoyed going to the Melbourne Convention Centre because we got to learn how to be better leaders and some tips and tricks that would benefit us in the future.
This term has been a period of significant growth and achievement for our student leaders. Their contributions have been invaluable, and their experiences will undoubtedly shape our future . As we move forward, let us continue to support and inspire one another, striving to reach new heights in the coming semester.
