Rosina Gemmill begun with St Francis this week and has settled in well. Rosina's role will be the Deputy Principal with a focus on Learning and Teaching at St Francis. Rosina has begun meeting with staff and reviewing our school curriculum and assessment schedule.
Natasha Boase begins in the school administration office this Monday (17th June). We look forward to both staff members.
REMINDER:
TERM 2
The scheduled Pupil Free day on Friday 21st June has been moved to Tuesday 15th October (Term 4). Friday 21st June will now be a normal school day with students attending classes.
TERM 3
Parent Teacher Interviews date has moved from Friday 26th July to Friday 19th July (first week of Term 3). This is to allow students to participate in the Lightning Premiership in Yarrawonga in Week 2.
Last week St Francis successfully completed our Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA) Review that looked at all aspects of the school including:
The VRQA is a statutory authority established under the Education and Training Reform Act 2006, and is responsible to the Minister for Education with their purpose to regulate for quality learning outcomes.
The review reaffirms our school's commitment to safe educational procedures and policies, ensures we are OHS compliant and provides a quality learning and teaching environment for all.
Student reports will be available in the last week of term for families via PAM.
The 2023 Annual Report to the School Community, which has a lot of interesting information about what we have achieved over the past year, can be downloaded from the school website. A hard copy is available by request from our school administration building.

Enrolments for 2025 are open with packs available from the front office. If you know of any families considering enrolment at St Francis, please direct them to the school office, as I am happy to take them on a school tour.
A reminder to families that children are supervised by teachers at St Francis from 8:30 am until 3:30 pm each day. Teachers are rostered for yard duty before school, at recess and lunchtime, and after school. Children should not be arriving to school prior to 8:30am.
If children have not been picked up by 3:30pm in the afternoon, they will be waiting in the Administration Area.
