Aoife's Message
Good afternoon Holy Cross families,
We've had a very productive couple of weeks, with much learning taking place for both children and staff. Thank you for supporting us with our school closure day this week, the day was an informative and valuable one. Please see our Wellbeing page for further details. This week we welcomed a new student into Year One, we hope that Clarksyn-Jo and the Pinono family will enjoy being part of our vibrant community.
Semester One reports and Parent/Teacher chats
Semester One reports will be issued to families next Friday, 21st June, via email. As you are aware from our letter dated 05/06/24 the mathematics curriculum has changed. Therefore the progression point assigned for 2024 may not align with previous achievements. This will even out over time as the children are taught the updated content areas. If you have any queries about your child's report, please contact their classroom teacher to discuss. You will also have the opportunity to meet with teachers for Parent/Teacher chats on July 29th and 30th. We understand how busy families are, therefore there is the option of coming onsite and meeting with teachers or of arranging a phone call. Booking details were sent via Operoo today.
Confirmation Family evening
Thank you to our Year Six families and children who joined us in prayer and reflection last week. It was lovely to spend time together identifying the gifts of the spirit that we see in one another. Thank you Lisa and Pat for facilitating the evening.
Prep 2025
We have had many school tours recently, with positive feedback and excitement around all that our school offers. We look forward to a thriving community of learners in 2025, Prep enrolments will close on July 31st. To assist with future planning could I please ask that any current families submit enrolment forms as soon as possible. Forms are available from the office.
A reminder that on the last day of Term 2, Friday 28th June, we will finish at 2.30pm.
Have a relaxing weekend,
Aoife
All students attending Holy Cross Primary School have the right to feel safe. The care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people is a fundamental responsibility of all within our school.
