Prep: The Preps have been ramping up their skills by practicing their kicking technique as well as their dribbling. They are now starting to work on their ball-bouncing skills with one and two hands. They are learning to bounce the ball while stationary and also while they are moving.
Grades 1 and 2:
The Grade 1s have been focusing on kicking a ball with proper technique. They been ensuring that they have their eyes on the ball, non-kicking leg next to the ball, swinging their leg back for power, kicking with their laces and making sure that they follow through with their leg. The Grade 2s practiced dribbling a ball around a defender without losing the ball as well as learning a new kicking skill called a punt.

Grades 3 and 4:
Grade 3s and 4s have been working on their dribbling skills as well as their instep pass. They have been using their penguin feet and one-footed dribble to navigate a set of cones and the soccer pitch.
Grades 5 and 6:
Grades 5 and 6 are still working on Invasion games. Grade 5s have started Rugby and have had a focus on running with the ball as well as passing backward to a teammate. Grade 6s have been focussing on their kick. They have been making sure that they take a stride before and land their non-kicking foot next to the ball allowing for a larger backswing and more power.
