VHAP

Semester 1 Victorian High Ability Program (VHAP) students went on an exciting escape room excursion into the city, where they worked together to solve puzzles and unlock the room.  At the end of the year, all VHAP students will collaborate to create their own escape room at school. The excursion provided opportunities for students to explore new ideas with their like-ability peers beyond the content of the VHAP Program.

Here’s what the students had to say about the day:

“It was fun; I thought it was cool how you’d find clues one at a time that helped with solving a bigger puzzle.”

“I had a good time. It was fun working as a team to solve clues. I got to use my mind to figure out the bigger picture.”

“It was fun. I liked the map clues. I enjoyed the whole day as it was so exciting.”

“The 30-minute time limit and dual team layout added a cat and mouse feel. I loved having to think quickly.”

“I’m looking forward to creating our own escape room at the end of the year. It was good that we could get lunch in the city too.”

“I enjoyed bonding with my peers, thinking of different strategies, and the brain power I had to use to complete the escape room.”
