In Year 9 Mathematics, students have been using Pythagoras’ theorem and Trigonometry to create navigation instructions.  The students’ aim was to create a scale drawing of a full-sized map and use this to draw in the navigation path and calculate the distances and rotation angles. Students were able to test their instructions by entering them into coding software and using our robotic Spheros, creating a hands-on and practical activity alongside their calculations. Here is one student example of testing the instructions with the Spheros.
