Principal's Message

From the Desk of Kathy Nott - Term 2, Week 4

Good afternoon Parents/Carers,

GRIP Leadership Training Conference

Our Year 6 students participated in the GRIP Leadership Training Conference at the Tamworth War Memorial Town Hall last Tuesday.  The program engages students in leadership techniques and what it takes to make a great leader.  Year 6 had a great day interacting with students from other schools.

National Simultaneous Storytime

Our K-Yr 4 students are participating in the National Simultaneous Storytime at the Werris Creek Library today.  The annual event is organised by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA).  During this event a picture book written and illustrated by an Australian author is read simultaneously across various locations Australia wide including librarys, schools, preschools, childcare centres and homes at 12:00pm AEST. This year's book is 'Bowerbird Blues' by Aura Parker.  It’s a moving story of longing and connection, that unfolds as the bowerbird’s search sends him soaring across the sea, sky and city.

Cross Country

Congratulations to those students who competed in the Zone Cross Country at Willow Tree Sporting Ground last Thursday.  We are very proud of your efforts.   Lachy was selected to represent the Quirindi PSSA Zone in the Regional Cross Country Carnival in June at Colah.  Good Luck Lachy.

Kind regards

Kathy Nott
