Parents and Friends

Parents & Friends have been working on a few projects over the past few weeks:

Community Pantry -

The school’s Community Pantry is now fully stocked with baking items and is available for all classes to use at any time.

Acts of Kindness Hampers -

With the help of some amazing volunteers and Foodbank Victoria, Bunyip Primary School can support families in need with Acts of Kindness hampers.

The hampers are packages filled with essential food and non-pantry items, aiming to make someone’s day a little brighter. You, or someone you know, might be going through a tough time financially, or you might have kids sick at home and you can’t get to the shops; no matter the reason, these packages are available to anyone without any questions asked.

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to a school family who generously donated to our Acts of Kindness hampers. Their contribution is greatly appreciated and will make a significant difference to many families in our school community. The thoughtful items they provided will help bring joy and comfort to those in need.

In addition to hampers, there is also free food and other essential items on display in the Community Room (also known as the Breakfast Club Room) and is accessible to parents at any time. Bags are available for you to collect what you need.

Upcoming Meeting -

Our next meeting will be on Friday June 14th at 9.10am in the Community Room. Younger siblings are also welcome, and we have lots of toys to keep then entertained! The meeting will focus on the Father's Day Stall and coming up with ideas for our Term 4 fundraiser!

We truly are a friendly bunch and are passionate about supporting our wonderful school. But, we are only a small group and so we welcome more parents to join us for a chat, a cuppa, and to share some fresh ideas and enthusiasm. There are various roles you can take on (but only IF you want to!), and you can choose what interests you; it might be making Acts of Kindness hampers, helping to wash or maintain the second-hand uniforms, making jaffles in Breakfast Club, helping to run a fundraiser, or just attending meetings to help us sort through ideas and see them achieved!
