Preps

Can you believe we are almost at the halfway point of Prep!

We have been doing so much learning this term. In writing we have been learning about facts and opinions and how to make a labelled diagram. In maths we have been learning about measurement, addition and subtraction. We have also been perfecting our handwriting of letters and learning new letter sounds and digraphs, and of course we can’t forget squeezing in time to hang out with our big grade 6 buddies. We have been super busy!

Just a reminder that the Prep projects are due next Thursday the 20th of June. We have already received some and they are looking fantastic. We would like to invite the parents to come in after lunch on Monday the 24th of June, to look at all the projects on display.

All Preps should have login codes to both Decodable Readers Australia and Numbots. These are two platforms used to help with reading fluency and the automatic recall of numbers at home. If you are missing these please reach out to your teacher. 

Lastly, in Term 3 the Preps will be doing SAKG (Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program). 

• Prep N will cook on Wednesdays
• Prep A will cook on Thursdays
• Both classes will do gardening on Tuesdays.

We really appreciate parent helpers for these sessions so if you think you could volunteer for some cooking sessions that would be wonderful! Looking forward to seeing you all in Term 3!
