Term 4 Week 2

What a wonderful day it is here at FHS today. Whilst I was out in the yard at lunch enjoying the sunshine and having a conversation with some of our Year 10 students it dawned on us all that they only had 4 more weeks of class before their exams begin, some were more excited than others by this prospect but we all agreed that there wasn't much time left for them at our junior campus. This was reinforced this week by the Discover projects that the students had the opportunity to work on, the brief was to come up with something they could leave at the junior campus to make it a better place for future students. Whilst not all the projects got finished it was great to see those that did.

This week we also started the discussion about how we are using technology in our classrooms with a view to developing some clear guidance for next year. If you are a student and you haven't completed the survey yet please find the link on Compass.

Also this week we learnt that our Year 8 Maths team finished 3rd in the state in the Victorian Maths Game Challenge, that is an incredible result and we are tremendously proud (but not at all surprised).
