ROUTINES
We know that clear and consistent routines help children feel safe, confident and ready to learn. Across our school, students are explicitly taught routines for many aspects of school life, including entering classrooms, moving around the school, responding to the bell, crossing the road safely, lining up, and preparing themselves for learning.
Routines are important because they reduce uncertainty, help students make positive choices and allow more time to focus on learning and relationships. When expectations are clear and practised regularly, students are more likely to experience success and feel a sense of belonging within our school community.
You can support this learning at home by talking with your child about the routines they use every day at school. Some useful conversation starters might include:
- What is our family's pick-up routine after school?
- Why is it important to follow safe crossing routines?
- What do you do when the bell rings at school?
- How do you know it is time to start learning in your classroom?
- What routines help you stay organised and ready for the day?
- How do routines help everyone stay safe and respectful?
By working together, we can help our students develop positive habits that support our school expectations of Be Your Best, Be Safe, Respect for All and Respect for Environment.
LUNCHTIME LEGENDS
A reminder that our Lunchtime Legends programs, run by our student leaders, continue to provide fun, inclusive and engaging opportunities for students at lunchtime and recess.
We are incredibly proud of the leadership shown by our senior students and the enthusiastic participation across the school.
Weekly Activities

Wednesday Lunchtime: Games on the Grass
Friday Lunchtime: Reading Retreat
Everyday Recess & Lunchtime: Chill Zone
These programs are free for students to join and have been a fantastic success, with strong participation across all year levels.
