School Attendance

Why Attendance Matters

The Department of Education Victoria emphasises that every day counts—even missing one day a fortnight can add up to four full weeks of missed learning in a year. Maintaining high attendance helps learners to be connected and succeed academically and socially.

We encourage families to continue promoting punctual and regular attendance by:

  • Establishing consistent morning routines
  • Planning appointments outside of school hours where possible
  • Communicating proactively with staff about any challenges

School gates open at 8:30am, and learning begins promptly at 8:45am. It’s essential that learners arrive between 8:30 and 8:45 to ensure they are ready to start the day on time. Every minute counts—being here from the start sets the tone for a successful day of learning.
