Resource Smart School Awards

Last week, Mrs Earle proudly represented our school at the Resource Smart Schools Awards at the MCG. These awards celebrate the fantastic work schools across Victoria are doing to create more sustainable communities. Mrs Earle had nominated our amazing parent volunteers for their commitment to our sustainability efforts, and Ocean Grove Primary was selected as a finalist! While we didn’t take out the top prize, it was an inspiring day showcasing the incredible work happening in schools across the state.

Community Compost is Coming!

We’re excited to announce the launch of our Community Compost initiative next term! Families are invited to bring their kitchen scraps to school and contribute to our growing compost system. Parent volunteers will be available every Friday morning at 8:30am to meet families and help empty compost buckets into our school compost bins. Thank you to our amazing parent team for helping make this possible!

Recycling Station Reminder!

Don’t forget to make use of our Recycling Station located in the Year 1 area! We collect a variety of hard-to-recycle items including bread tags, used toothbrushes and toothpaste tubes and batteries.

Eingana

Our very own Jo Earle was invited to contribute to Eingana, which is published by Environment Education Victoria. Please link below.
