STAGE 3

Stage 3 News!

What a busy and exciting term it’s been in Stage 3. Our classrooms have been buzzing with learning, creativity, and collaboration. Our campers had an amazing time at Kincumber and there is still so much more to come this term! 

Upcoming highlights include:

🎤 Spelling Bee Finals in the school hall – Tuesday 17th June, 12:40pm

🏀 Basketball Clinics – a fun way to keep active and build teamwork

🖤💛❤️ Aboriginal Culture Incursion – a special learning experience that deepens our understanding of culture and Country

🌱 ‘Bring Back the Bush’ Excursion – an exciting environmental education opportunity, more information to come soon!

🐝 Buzz Day – Movie and popcorn reward for those who have been working hard this term!

A reminder that Semester 1 student reports will be sent home at the end of the term. If you would like to meet with your child’s teacher to discuss their progress, please don’t hesitate to book a meeting. We welcome the opportunity to connect and work together to support your child’s learning journey.

Great Aussie Bush Camp

70 students attended a 3 day camp ⛺️ at Kincumber in Week 6. They were all so well behaved and had the opportunity to participate in a range of activities including: high ropes course, giant swing, rock climbing, archery, frisbee golf, power fan, bushcraft including damper making and canoeing. They all had an amazing time and had the chance to challenge themselves and get out of their comfort zones. 

Violin artworks

We have finished our Making Music Art unit with these amazing violins. We sketched the violin, then added a piano and music notes into our backgrounds. We used paint and chalk pastels to create harmonious backgrounds. 

Writing Samples 

We have been working hard during English lessons to write descriptions and persuasive texts that relate to our focus books. Year 5 have been studying 'One Small Island' and Year 6 have been studying 'Rabbit, Soldier, Angel, Thief'. 

Canva Posters

Our non-campers created some excellent posters using the online platform Canva. They had the choice to choose their own topics. Check some of them out below! 

Ozobots lessons

Our non-campers enjoyed their lessons using the Ozobots. They worked hard to create codes for the Ozobots to follow. 

Science Experiments  

This term our students have had the opportunity to participate in hands on investigations during our forces unit. Check out the fun we are having during our balloon rocket experiment.
