From Mr Coppin

As the Term Ends...

We cherish the diversity of our community but also take time to honour our Anglican Tradition at our end of Term 2 Church Services for K-Year 3 and Year 4 to Year 6.  It is always powerful to pause and reflect with this beautifully written prayer by our Junior School Vice Captain Talia Golovsky:

Dear God

Thank you for your protection, guidance and the great memories we have created this term. Thank you for the new friendships we have made these past few months and for all the assistance in our learning. Please continue to protect and guide us through these holidays, please let us rest and spend time with friends and family and ensure that we return a better version of ourselves, ready for term 3.

Reports

Junior School reports were shared with parents on Tuesday 24 June 2025. If you have not yet received your daughter’s report, please check your email spam filter as a precaution.

If you cannot locate the document please email Junior School Student Services juniorstudentservices@kambala.nsw.edu.au

DisappEARRINGS

As we return from the shorter holidays (April, July and September), we often see a number of students with newly pierced ears (evident with the presence of gold, silver or diamondesque studs).

A gentle reminder that, in a girls' school context, perceptions of fairness matter deeply. Our learners often ask, “Why is she allowed to break the rules when I’m not?”, and this can create unnecessary pastoral tension among peers.

As outlined on page 9 of the Kambala School Diary under Jewellery:

  • A wristwatch is the only acceptable jewellery.
  • No earrings are permitted.
  • One clear plastic stud in the lower lobe is the only exception.

Since 2018, this long-standing (in place for decades) “no jewellery” policy has been consistently communicated to families during Junior School enrolment interviews.

We thank you for your ongoing support in upholding the standards and values that help maintain consistency and cohesion across our school community.

Preparation - Year 12 Mother's Lunch

At Kambala, we recognise the profound power of community, how shared moments and connections between families, staff and students enrich the fabric of our School.

We warmly invite you to join us for our P–12 Mothers Lunch: Where The City Meets the Country - a celebration of the diverse women who shape and support our girls’ lives. This special event offers a chance to come together in gratitude, to strengthen friendships across our city and country communities, and to honour the spirit of belonging that makes Kambala so special.
