In Literacy, students have been learning about the bossy ‘e’ and how it changes the sound of vowels in words. They are also writing 'super sentences' and focusing on identifying sentence fragments, as well as punctuating their writing correctly using capital letters and full stops.
Inquiry – Geography
Our Inquiry unit on Geography continues as students learn to make connections with countries around the world. This week, we explored Canada and next week we’ll focus on Cambodia. Over the coming weeks, we’ll continue our journey across the globe, learning about more countries and cultures.

We have been enjoying learning about different countries and their cultures through guest speakers about Nepal, Africa and Canada for our Inquiry Unit.
After our Australia chat the students shared some fairy bread, please ask your child the connection with Australia. In the coming weeks we will continue our world tour. Please have a chat with your child about their ‘Passport’ and the amazing places they will be visiting in the coming weeks.
MATHS:
We are currently focusing on addition and subtraction during math. The students have been consolidating their mathematical skills through Online Math's games and playing board or card games.
