The Patch Program
Term 3, Week 2
In the kitchen this term we are finishing off the last few classes making Anzac Biscuits. Then we will be cooking something new - how exciting! The Anzac Biscuits have been a great hit, and all the classes have made beautiful looking biscuits.
In the garden last term we did experiments with the Grades 5 & 6 to use different soil types to grow Curry Leaf plants from seed. These are notoriously hard to grow, and take a long time to germinate. But, I have noticed a couple are starting to germinate. I’m so impressed with the students and can’t for them to get a bit bigger!
This term, we will be looking after all the winter vegetables we planted in term 2. We are going to be making pea tepees, and will hopefully have lots and lots of snow peas and sugar snap peas to eat. Yum!
