SPS Science Fair

Today, the whole school was involved in our SPS Science Fair. The Year 5/6 students had the chance to present a range of experiments which they have been investigating, developing and testing in small groups in their weekly Science lessons, to the students in Years F-4, the staff and parent visitors. Not only did the students have to demonstrate their experiment, but they had to explain the science behind it to their audience.

In addition to the Year 5/6 scientists presenting their experiments, they Year 3/4 students attended the Science Fair as scientists in an investigative capacity, observing the reactions for each experiment and asking questions of the students presenting them, noting down the scientific reaction for each one.

It was a wonderful opportunity for all SPS to be immersed in the wonderful world of Science.
