Everyone is welcome to attend the worship service held in the Church each Sunday at 9.30am.
Held every Tuesday during term time from 9-10.30am, Playgroup @ St Paul is for children aged 0-5 and a parent/caregiver. School families are more than welcome to come across after you have done the school drop-off. We won’t be completely set up, but you are still welcome to hang out with us.
Cost is $2 per family and your first visit is free.
Come and check out the play space, make a craft, play with playdough, explore the sensory play space, and join in with story and song time.
This week at the craft table, we put the stripes on the zebra to go with the book ‘The Zebra Who Lost His Stripes’ and had lots of fun playing in the plain flour in the sensory play space.
Next week we will be looking for bears as we read the classic book ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ by Michael Rosen. We will also get the parachute out for parachute play after story time.
For more information about anything playgroup related, contact Kylie Koelman in the Church Office on 8262 4690 or email at office@stpaul-church.org.au
On Tuesday 1 July, which is the first week of the school holidays, Playgroup is holding a sibling day. This is an opportunity for the older brothers and sisters of our playgroup aged children to join in the fun and see what happens at playgroup.
All families of playgroup aged children (0-5 years) are warmly invited to attend.
This resource is developed by the Lutheran Church of Australia and is intended to be a guide in sharing faith activities with members of your family.
Here are a few ways you could introduce faith discussions in your home and day-to-day life.
This week the Bible reading tells the story of Jesus healing a man possessed by demons. Jesus commanded the demons to leave the possessed man and then told the man to go and tell everyone about the good things Jesus had done for him.
But Jesus sent him home, saying, “No, go back to your family, and tell them
everything God has done for you.” So he went all through the town proclaiming the
great things Jesus had done for him. (Luke 8:39)
This story summarises the power Jesus has over all creation, including the physical and spiritual realm. Jesus, King of Heaven and Earth reigns over all people for eternity, in a kingdom that never ends. The good news is that Jesus is King for you too. He wants a relationship with you and to care for you and with all his blessings, you will be able to tell others the good things that he has done for you.
Lord, thank you for the gifts before us, signs of your love and mercy. Help us to tell others how much you have done for us. Amen.
Lord Jesus, thank you for setting us free. Help us to tell others how much you have done for us. Amen.
