As we head into a well-deserved break both in the classroom and in the ISA Winter Season I take this opportunity to thank all of you who have been involved in our winter sports program. There have been so many positives in the performances of our teams and also in the College community’s involvement across all sports.
Our 1st XV head up to Queensland for their annual tour and we wish them well in their games against fellow EREA schools, St Joseph's Gregory Terrace and Nudgee College. The squad will be meeting up with former Junior School Sports Coordinator, Mr Greg Virgona, when they train at The Southport School on the Gold Coast. We also wish the footballers well in their upcoming skills camp to be held at Oxford Falls.
Fixtures will recommence on Saturday 26 July for ISA and IPSHA games. I draw your attention to the Football team photos information in the Football section below. These photos are being held on Saturday 26 July at Oxford Falls.
In looking forward, as we move into Term 3, summer registrations and gradings will be opening in Clipboard across all our summer sports early in the term. Please keep an eye out for registration information. Gradings will commence for all sports once registrations have been completed.
Mr Matthew Stearn - Assistant Principal, Cocurricular
Football
It was a weekend of mixed results but it was fantastic to see that the 1st XI, having been down 0-2, fought back and managed to overcome Oakhill 3-2.
There are no fixtures throughout the holidays, training will recommence on 24 July. Please note that the first Saturday back, 26 July, all teams will have their official team photo taken at Oxford Falls, the times for these photos are below and will be confirmed in the first week of Term 3.
