Independence Centre

Highlight
Selamat Siang! Thank you to all families for attending 3 way conferences this week. We hope you found it valuable to see what your child is enjoying at school and what goals they are working towards. I know students have really enjoyed preparing to share with you.
This week has been so much fun in the Independence Centre. Students have been learning all about exciting endings to narrative stories and have worked collaboratively to plan some different styles of endings.
In Maths, students have been learning different strategies to solve addition and subtraction problems. Some students have found the vertical method the most efficient to solve problems, others have enjoyed using a numberline to help them.
Have a wonderful week,
Kathy, Ros, Julia, Mandy, Fatima and Suzie.
Reminders

- Tissues - If your child could please bring a box of tissues to their classroom, we store these for use in the classroom throughout the year
- iPads - Students are required to bring their iPads to school each day fully charged. If you are having any issues with this, please contact your child's classroom teacher.
