Dio Swimming Carnival
Isla Brennan, Archie Cooper, Violet Gadd, Sienna Garside, Mitchell Harris, Martina Michaelsen, Stanley Napper, Claire Reynell, Oliver Williams, Charlie and Harry Rice, attended the combined Diocesan Primary and Secondary Swimming Carnival, in a stinking hot Gunnedah.
With so many races to get through, the action was non-stop from 9am till the end.
As the temperature soared and exhaustion hit the primary kids, the tears started to flow along with the odd tantrum.
Our O'Connor students swam to their best throughout the day, with some placing 2nd and 3rd. Our best performer and great acquisition to the College, Claire Reynell, swimming some fast times, came 1st in her three Events, the 50m butterfly and 100m Freestyle, and also the 50m Backstroke.
She will now represent the Diocese at the NSWCCC Swimming Championships, in Sydney, on April 2-3.
Congratulations and good luck Claire!
Golf
A big well done to Archie Piddington and Lachlan Taylor on their recent successes in golf.
Archie was awarded B Grad Club Champion and Lachlan made it through to CCC golf.
Great achievements boys!
