Knox Division Swimming Championships
Amazing effort from our swimmers!
Congratulations to our students who put in a superb effort at the Knox Division Swimming Championships! Not only did they represent St Simon proudly with their swimming caps, but ensured they pushed themselves to the limit against some fierce competition. We are very proud of them all!
A particular shoutout to our wonderful parents for their fantastic cheering and support, particularly those parent purchasing a memento of their experience with a Division Championship jumper.
Congratulations to our Boys 9/10 yr old Freestyle relay team and Ariana Duke who have advanced to the Eastern Regional Championships this Friday! We wish them the best of luck!
We wish to celebrate the success and result of our St Simon relay teams and individual swimmers below.
Year 3-6 Athletics Day
Our year 3 to 6 athletics day was a great success with students demonstrating and celebrating their skills learnt through the Physical Education program. There were some large throws at the discus net and strong jumps from our Year 5 and 6 students in the long and triple jump. It was excellent to see our Year 3’s get involved, attempting the hurdles and putting their strength to the test with throwing shotputs.
We want to thank the dedication of our staff in aiding our students to perform their best.
All data collected from the Athletics Day, Physical Education program and previous school athletics performance will be used to select our St Simon Athletics team. This will be announced by the end of the Term. Students capable in multiple events will be approached by Mr Karl Camerino to discuss their preferences with track and field events.
Thank you to our parent helpers who particularly gave support to our staff on the day.
A BIG SHOUTOUT TO St Joseph College and their boys for their amazing encouragement of our students! Their presence makes these days run smoothly and lift the spirit and morale of our students to give it their all! Thank you to St Joseph for their time and effort in support and building the relationship between our two Catholic schools.
