Saving Rabbits!!!
Here is a short article that Fr Jake shared with us.
.
Here is a summary:
A group of Franciscan sisters in central Spain is working to save the endangered Spanish giant rabbit. Led by Sister Consuelo Peset Laudeña, the sisters breed and care for the rabbits at their convent, recognising the animal as an important part of Spain’s cultural and historical heritage. Once vital for feeding families during and after the Spanish Civil War, the breed is now at risk of extinction. The sisters see their conservation efforts as a way of preserving history while also responding to Pope Francis’s call to care for creation.
