Term Two promises plenty of opportunities for our students to challenge themselves, develop their skills, and have fun. Our Year 6 students will compete in Winter Interschool Sports, taking on local schools across a variety of team sports while demonstrating teamwork and sportsmanship. Prep

In Term Two, Prep students will participate in units focused on hand-eye coordination, catching, and throwing activities. Our young learners will begin by exploring a variety of catching and throwing games, where they will practice skills such as tossing beanbags, catching balls, and throwing to a partner or target. These activities are designed to develop their hand-eye coordination, timing, and spatial awareness in a fun and age-appropriate way. Next, students will engage in modified games that emphasize teamwork, cooperation, and fair play. These activities will provide opportunities to practice passing, receiving, and tracking moving objects while learning to communicate and work together effectively. Finally, students will participate in movement activities that support coordination and body control, such as relay races and ball challenges, allowing them to refine their throwing, catching, and overall motor skills in a safe and enjoyable environment.
