House Chess

Checkmate!

Our House Chess tournament was once again a very closely contested event with excellent performances across the board. A highlight of our Senior School tournament was the highly anticipated duel between Jackie Li and Rey Ding which ended in an exciting draw and Rey D winning the overall best male player on the day with a score of 6.5/7. Amanda L (3/7) was the best female player. Best team was Rayner House.

Our Middle School tournament was equally exciting with Jayden Z (7/7) and Trent K (6/7) duelling it out for the top spot. Our best female player on the day was Ashley Lee with an impressive 4 wins from 7 games. Best team was Rayner House, which also meant that Rayner finished in first place overall. This is the first time in seven years that a house other than Mather House has won Chess. Well done to all our wonderful participants.
