At St John's, our goal is for all students to thrive as learners. At times, some students may require additional support, and adjustments are made to help them access the curriculum. For these students, the school collaborates with parents and allied health professionals to support their individual success as learners. To facilitate this, Program Support Group (PSG) meetings are arranged for students with additional needs each term. Parents will have a PSG meeting twice a year, depending on their child's needs.
As Learning Diversity Leader, I would like to thank all parents who have made themselves available throughout the year to meet with me and the classroom teacher for the Program Support Group (PSG) meetings in support of improved student learning outcomes. At these meetings, goals are reviewed and new goals are set, with a focus on the student’s progress, and identifying the supports needed to ensure continued success. These meetings are minuted and signed by all those present, as the school must maintain evidence of our meetings for funding purposes.
Program Support Group (PSG) emails for Term 4 will be sent out shortly, and I appreciate parents in advance for making themselves available for these important meetings.
