Inspired to Lead Formation Program - Italy Pilgrimage 

The Inspired to Lead formation program aims to support teachers and MACS staff to grow in faith, be inspired by passion and confidently align their actions in the work context with faith, mission and Catholic identity.

The program recognises teachers and staff as valued partners in MACS’ strategic vision and broader mission of the Church – integral to leading and inspiring the faith in the Catholic education context.

The Inspired to Lead program emphasises both personal and professional development as part of an ongoing formation journey and follows the Archdiocese of Melbourne evangelisation approach of encounter, engage, and embark, promoting a holistic process for faith formation.

Over the Term 3 holidays I was honoured to represent St John's on this spiritual pilgrimage through Rome, Sienna, Assisi and Cascia. Highlights of the pilgrimage included;

Rome - Catacombs, Appian Way, St John in Lateran, St Clemente, Colosseum, Roman Forum, Venerable English College, St Paul's Outside the Walls, St Mary Major, Papal audience, St Peter's Basilica, Vatican Museums

Siena - Basilica di San Domenico

Assisi - St Francis and St Clare Basilicas

Cascia - Basilica of Santa Rita da Cascia
