In response to an identified need for additional education on Respectful Relationships, the year 7 and 8 teams invited both The Flourish Journey (formerly Flourish Girl) and Brother Nature to join and present at the College as part of our Wellbeing Wednesday in our Spring Break festival.
'Flourish Journey' works with schools across Victoria to develop the social and emotional tools students they need to build their self-confidence, self-awareness and social connectedness within school communities and other trusted relationships, within a safe space for girls and gender-diverse teens.
Jai Tao of Brother Nature presented on a combination of healthy masculinity and respectful behaviour and attitudes, with a focus on student wellbeing and how to build a healthy identity.
We will continue to work with and educate our young people on all things Respectful Relationships. We ask that you also speak with your young ones on the topics presented to the year 7 and 8 students above and if you have any questions or want further information, please contact Xavier McLaurin.
