MRS MONIQUE WATT - YEAR 9 & 10 HUMANITIES TEACHER
On Wednesday, October 18th, Year 9 and 10 students from Money Markets and Citizenship classes transformed the school into a bustling marketplace. The students, eager to put their entrepreneurial skills to the test, set up their own small businesses, offering a delectable variety of treats. From savoury sausages and pizzas to sweet cupcakes and ice cream, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
The Market was more than just a fun event. It provided the students with a valuable opportunity to learn about the ins and outs of running a business. From sourcing inventory and pricing to customer service and marketing, the students gained firsthand experience in all aspects of entrepreneurship.
The event was a huge success, with students and teachers alike lining up to sample the delicious food and drinks on offer. The market also fostered a sense of community and camaraderie among the students, as they worked together to make their businesses a success.
A big thank you to all the students who participated in Market Day. Your hard work and creativity made it a memorable event.
