Foundation Learning Community

We cannot believe that it is Term 4 already! The children have returned to school rested and ready to learn.

Now that we are coming to the pointy end of the year, if you could please support and encourage your child to practise their reader, keyring sounds and heart words each day that would be very much appreciated.

In Maths, we have been learning about ordinal numbers and adding numbers together.

We have begun learning all about Biological Sciences and the children took their iPads outside to take photos of living and non-living things before sorting them into a T-chart.

Next week, we will have a very exciting addition to our Foundation learning space. Mrs. Iddles will be bringing in an incubator and some eggs from her farm. We will be monitoring the hatching process and hoping that in a few weeks times we will have actual chicks! You might like to ask your child all about this process as I am sure they will be very excited to share what they have learnt.

Next week, we have the Ditto Bravehearts incursion. Where the children will learn about how to keep their bodies safe. Next Friday is also Grandparents Day. Your child's Grandparents or special people are invited to our school assembly at 9am where the Foundation students will be performing a song. Our classrooms will then be open afterwards for the children to show their Grandparents their learning space.

Our Pevan and Sarah Excursion is fast approaching - this excursion is happening on November the 14th. More details will be sent out on PAM next week.
