Thank you for a beautiful start to our school year, welcome back. This year, our curriculum has been grounded in the Lutheran Education Australia Document “Free to Flourish”, a story of who are we and who are we becoming?  Our learning community will be adventurous, compassionate, purposeful and relational in all that we do and are. If you’d like to find out more about Free to flourish read excellence in outcomes (lutheran.edu.au).

Our teams have worked hard to make sure all children have learning programs that have been designed to their individual needs with appropriate challenges to promote growth. Our staff have worked hard to create intentionally inviting learning environments that promote student agency. I thank them for all the extra work they have done to get ready for this year. It was great to see so many families at our welcome BBQ and open night along with our partners such as Holyoake, AFL and Cricket NT.

In the Northern Territory school uniform is compulsory. The NT government provide each child with $200 towards uniform and other back to school needs. At Living Waters we expect all children to wear full school uniform every day. Full school uniform includes a hat. Students need a hat to play at breaks and to participate in physical education lessons which are a compulsory part of the curriculum. Many students are coming to school without a hat. Please check your child has a hat and that it is labelled with their name. If you find they have the wrong hat, please send it in and we can get it back to its owner.
