YOUTH LEADERSHIP PROGRAM APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN!

Support your Year 9-10 Science students to participate in a fantastic opportunity

Guided by mentors from Zoos Victoria, students will delve into field science to actively participate in a real-life conservation initiative for the Leadbeater's Possum. They'll develop their leadership abilities by spearheading a community project that will have a real impact in the local community. This year's program will include overnight stays in Healesville to allow students to participate in field trips and night spotting in protected conservation areas. We are excited to announce that this year we have ten scholarship positions available for students from low SES schools.

Students need to be endorsed by a teacher at their school, who will support their student's development.

Each teacher will receive:

Applications close on 7 March and places are very limited. Make sure you share this with the Science students at your school.

We are proud to join the Children’s University Swinburne program as an official Learning Destination! Children's University is a marvellous program, where the joy of learning and aspiration for tertiary studies are developed in primary school, nurtured through secondary school, and underpin a seamless transition to tertiary learning for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Run by Swinburne University of Technology, in partnership with schools, the program aims to raise aspiration through extra-curricular learning opportunities. Through partner Learning Destinations, such as Zoos Victoria, students are given the opportunity to explore a broad range of opportunities and experiences outside of school. The learning achievements of members are celebrated and rewarded at annual graduation ceremonies held at Swinburne University in Hawthorn.
