Mrs Taylor’s Year 8 Maths class have been studying fractions and were examining fractions involved with cutting a watermelon. They had to predict what fraction of a slice they had, work out how they could determine this, and knowing they had 1/24 of the watermelon cut for the class, had to determine how the watermelon was cut, how many slices and how many segments per slice.
