Science and Technology

We are looking forward to another fantastic year in Science and Technology with many opportunities for students to participate in STEM activities and events. STEM events to look forward to this year include Arduinos workshops for Years 7-8 run by Robogals, Big Science competition, ICAS Science competition and STEM Week. Other events will be organised by the 2024 STEM captains – William, Affan, Siena, Tahira, Ethan, Sean, Janessa and Ryan. All events will be advertised on Compass Newsfeed.

The STEM US/Space Camp tour will depart in September. While at Space Camp in Alabama, students will experience a variety of astronaut training exercises, engineering challenges and team-building activities all culminating in an extended-duration simulated space mission. After graduation from Space Camp and a visit to a local high school, students will travel to Orlando in Florida to visit Kennedy Space Center, Universal Studios and Disneyworld. We look forward to hearing all about their travels and adventures.
