Happy New Year 

We would like to wish the entire school community a very “Happy New Year” and hope everyone has had a good break.  Hope that everyone has returned with a rejuvenated spirit towards whatever lies ahead. We would like to welcome all the new families to our school community and hope to see many of you join the Parents & Friends committee this year.                                                                           

Chinese New Year this year falls on 10 February. The celebrations will last for 16 days and end on 24 February with the Lantern Festival. 

2024 is the Year of the Dragon. Traditionally, the dragon is an auspicious symbol of strength and power. It is also associated with good fortune, wisdom, success, protection and masculinity. A very warm Chinese New Year Greetings from the PFA to Chinese Community at EDSC.

As our students start a new school year at EDSC, let it be a year of hope and prosperity for the entire community. 

Meet & Greet Night

The Parents & Friends Association invites all new and returning families to join us at our first event for the year which will be a “Meet & Greet”. 

Location:     The John Landy Centre

Date:             Monday 26 February 2024               

Time:             7:00 pm

You will have the opportunity to meet our current group of parents that are the P&F for EDSC and we will be happy to share how this dynamic group supports the college.

The Parents and Friends Committee is an informal, friendly group of interested parents who provide assistance at various school functions throughout the year such as information nights, music nights, school production, parent/teacher interview days etc. P&F also fundraises with a focus to raise extra funds to use on worthwhile projects that will benefit the college community.

Come join us – possibly take up a position on the PFA executive committee, be involved and stay informed about the exciting events that take place in our child’s school.
