Weekly Overview

Last week our focus was:

"To have positive language when talking to others".

Whilst walking and entering classrooms it was clear that we are lucky at HTS, the energy and focus our students have on their education is extremely promising. The respect and devotion to their learning enable them to continually focus and complete the tasks at hand. Students are encouraged to become intrinsically motivated as this approach to learning gives greater drive and commitment even when times become challenging in school.

Next week's goal is

For students to question and think more critically about their learning

A way to promote conversation with your child or children is asking more open questions - not a yes or no style. These could be:

How and what did you play with your friends?
What were a few things that made your day enjoyable?
What were two tasks at school that you enjoyed and why?
How did you overcome something challenging today?

These discussions on the way home and having with your child not only help them understand what they have achieved in the day but also inform you of their progression.
