Fortnight Highlights!

IWD AT MT A

Thank you to Year 10 student Milla for sharing her powerful message on International Women's Day. Please see the video below.

To celebrate International Women's Day, the Outreach Committee welcomed students to school and distributed purple ribbons. At Break 1, they packed care packs that will be distributed by the Queensland Police Service's Vulnerable Persons Unit to women requiring emergency accommodation and support as a result of domestic violence. Well done Outreach Committee!

YEAR 9 STEM

This term our Year 9 STEM students have embarked on a thrilling True Crime unit. Exploring the realms of Forensic Science, they’ve engaged in an immersive crime scene simulation. Working in teams, students tapped into their inner detectives, analysing vital evidence, conducting witness interviews, and crafting a comprehensive report. We extend our gratitude to our dedicated Science Faculty for bringing such engaging activities to life!

GROW IT FORWARD

This term we commenced a new green initiative called, Grow it Forward. Led by our Curator of Gardens, Mr David Pratt the College gave away over 170 plants, cuttings and produce from La Foresta. We extend a heartfelt thank you to all who joined in on our green journey! We look forward to hosting another Grow it Forward in Term 2, stay tuned!
