Our Year 7 science classes measured different colourful liquids to create a rainbow. The room was filled with chatter and action as they poured water with food dye into test tubes. The students collaborated to blend the liquids, forming a simple yet vibrant rainbow on their benches. The experiment provided a practical lesson in measurement with the students starting their journey with science in action.
In Year 10 students are currently studying Genetics. Here are some students creating posters showing the stages of Mitosis, which is the type of cell division that is necessary for growth and repair. Students are modelling the way in which double chromosomes separate to create two new identical cells.
