John XXIII Rowing Club

Dear Families

We extend a big congratulations to all the girls in the Rowing Club for completing their first erg test of the season. This marks a significant milestone in your training journey, and every participant deserves recognition for their effort and perseverance. It's vital to remember the importance of posting your initial times, no matter what they are. This initial benchmark is crucial for tracking your fitness improvements and setting realistic, achievable goals for future tests. The courage and determination shown by each rower in facing this challenging task, especially those stepping out of their comfort zones, are commendable. Your hard work and dedication have set a positive tone for the season ahead.

Additionally, a special shoutout is for everyone who took part in the JTC Rowing Erg Competition on Wednesday at lunchtime. Thank you to our senior rowers for their help in running a smooth and successful event.

For our younger students in Years 7 and 8, it's exciting to note that Learn to Row programs will be held in Semester 2 and registrations for those programs will begin from next term.

For those in Years 9 to 12, it's not too late to join the John XXIII Rowing Club for the 2024 season. Whether you're new to rowing, interested in becoming a coxswain, or looking to represent our College, we warmly invite you to become part of our rowing community.

Please don't hesitate to register and become a part of our proud rowing tradition by completing the online Registration Form available via the link below. Here's to a season of growth, teamwork, and success on the water!
