Maths

We finished our learning on number and place value, enjoying many different fun activities to solidify our knowledge.

We have begun learning about Time, with students showcasing their knowledge on time when discussing days of the week, months and hours. Everyone particularly enjoyed listening to the Wednesday Adams 'Days of the Week' song.

Literacy

In literacy we have started our Initialit program, where students merge with others from 1/2TV and explore varied concepts in reading. The students I am leading have been split into groups where they explore a variety of different activities daily.

We have also begun learning about pronouns, and where to replace a noun with a pronoun in a sentence.

Inquiry

We have started learning about Community, and our place within the community. Students were very excited to explore Google Maps to locate their school, as well as recognisable locations within the Frankston district. We also began working on our sense of direction.

Ed in Faith

Students have continued to be reverent and engaged in their learning of Education in Faith. We have further explored our understanding of Lent and how we celebrate it. We have been exploring different types of prayer, and how we can engage in prayer at school.
