Kindy Families: Please drop your chocolate blocks to the office if you haven't already. We appreciate the families that have already made donations.

Volunteers: If you have not volunteered already, please give us some of your time on Saturday. We are very short on volunteers between 11:00am and 2:00pm on our busiest stalls, the BBQ and Ride Ticket Sales. You can volunteer by clicking on the link   volunteersignup.org/JJ8DY

We are grateful to each and every one of you for helping to make the Country Fair such a fantastic day for our school! Looking forward to seeing you all on the day.

Wristbands: The Country Fair Committee are sorry to advise that the Laser Tag provider booked last November advised us on Tuesday evening they are no longer able to service our event. The committee spent the next 24 hours trying to find a new provider but at such short notice they are all unavailable. A decision has been made to reduce the price of wristbands to $25. Families who have already purchased wristbands will receive a refund of $5 and will be contacted by a committee member as soon as possible regarding this refund. The committee is now working on putting together a new similar activity to avoid disappointing the kids, but the price will still be reduced.

Student Wellbeing:

We are currently working really hard to teach our students the School Expectations of being Safe Respectful Learners. We are starting to see some negative behaviours creep in. We would really appreciate your support in talking to your children about following our school expectations.

Strategic Improvement Plan - We are currently working on developing our new school plan which will be in place from Term 1 2024 and will take us through to 2027. I will be holding information sessions and asking for feedback from students and the community in the next couple of weeks.  The school will have 3 strategic directions. The first set by the Department of Education which is Student Growth and Attainment the other 2 strategic directions will be set by the school based on data.

Eglinton will be transitioning to a new financial system in the coming weeks. Please read the newsletter and watch out for notifications as this process takes place.

ANZAC Community Grant

We have been successful in our application for a grant to build an ANZAC Remembrance Garden within our school. We received $1250.00 from NSW Office for Veterans Affairs and plan to commence our garden very soon.

We would love to have it ready for our ANZAC Day service.

A Huge Thank you to Eglinton P & C for generously donating money to cover part of the bus costs so that our very excited Pulse Dance and Choir students can travel to Sydney for Pulse Alive on Friday 15 March!
