From the Principal
The weather this week has been amazing, the school has been soaked in sunshine. The students have really been thriving in the warmer weather with lots of fun games and visits to the drink taps.
What a truly magical time we had during our Grandparents morning. A special thanks to all the Grandparents and Special People who attended. There was a wonderful buzz around the school as I moved around, lots of laughter and love. I have placed lots of photos in the Grandparents Morning Tab, please have a look through.
Last Thursday I sent a SchoolStream in relation to some online activity I am hearing about from some of our parents and students. The students at this school should not be using apps such as Instagram and Tiktok. They are not age appropriate, I understand there are certain apps that allow younger children to gain access. I urge parents to monitor their child's online activity.
Thanks to all the families who came out on Tuesday night for our Junior Information Evening. It was a wonderful turn out and I really hope those who attended enjoyed the evening. The feedback from parents so far has been very positive. Thanks to Emily and Audrey from the PnF for setting up a few nibbles for after. There was a wonderful buzz in the room as the families mingled and chatted away.
I have attached the PDF version of the slides for those who could not attend.
We are on the lookout for a couple of new hands for our Parents and Friends committee for 2025. Please see the attachment above for more information. We are also on the lookout for at least one more parent for our School Advisory Council for 2025. I am delighted to announce that Kristina Evans has accepted the role of Chairperson of the SAC for 2025, Kristina will take over from Amy Gillett who has been a hardworking member of both the Parents and Friends and School Advisory Council for a number of years. We will have a chance to celebrate the wonderful work Amy and others who are departing our school have done over the next couple months.
Please be aware that the school will be closed on Monday, November 4th and Tuesday, November 5th for the Melbourne Cup long weekend.
All Saints Day Mass:
Families are invited to our whole school mass on Friday, November 1st. We will be celebrating one of the holy days of obligation "All Saints Day". The mass will begin at 9am in the Parish Church.
